How to Manage Employee Policies on Daman Employer Portal

If an employer does not follow and manage their team policies, in return he may face a legal challenge. Sometimes the company has to face fines and hindrance in medical checkups.

The company has the facility to make a new policy for any new employees. With this new policy, they renew and cancel the policy of those employees that have left the company. The company always keeps up-to-date.

Step by step guide to manage employees policies
A health insurance policy is not an ambiguous process. The company’s HR department can easily control all employees’ information. It has been made for large companies that provide health insurance to their employees.
Add a new employee policy
Whenever a new employee joins a company, the company’s HR enters him into the Daman policy so that he may get benefits from medical. First, log in to the Daman portal.
Choose the Add Employee or New Policy option.
You have to enter the employee’s Emirate ID, work permit, and passport details.
Choose an insurance plan.
Upload required documents such as Emirate ID, visa page, and employee letter.
Submit for approval.
Wait for a few hours; it will be approved by the Daman team.
Renew an existing policy
Every policy has its expiration date. It is mandatory to renew it after its expiry so that employees can’t face any kind of hindrance. The Daman portal has all employees’ lists in the dashboard. The system automatically sends expired notifications.
Update your employees’ designation and salary at the time of renewal and update it. you can update a single employee policy and in bulk as well. The insurance card is automatically available on the system after renewal.
Cancel a policy
Whenever an employee leaves a company or has an expired contract, it is mandatory for the company to cancel the policy so that they can save themselves from premium payment.
Go to the option Cancel Policy or Terminate Employee.
Add employee Emirate ID or policy number.
Explain the reason for the cancellation policy, such as visa cancellation, resignation, and termination.
Add supporting documents such as a company letter.
Click on submit for cancellation.
A policy is cancelled in three to five days, and the name of the employee is removed from the Daman portal.
Update employee information
With the passage of time employees change their mobile number, email, or plans.
visit Manage Employees
Choose the right employee and click on Edit Information
Add new information and upgrade it
Save changes, and the system automatically updates it.
Common Issues and Troubleshooting
Sometimes the HR or companies have to face challenges while using the Daman portal. These mistakes are not technical; they can be solved with intentionality.
Mostly the HR staff add the wrong username or password, and the system shows invalid credentials. In such a case, click on “Forgot password,” open the registered email, and add a new password. In other cases, you can directly contact the support team so that your account can be activated.
Somehow the policy shows pending status. It happens when submitted documents are not enough and you have entered the wrong emirate ID. The HR should check the notification in Application Status.
